NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is requesting the public’s help in identifying the whereabouts of two individuals involved in a robbery incident within the 52 Precinct.
The police report states that on Saturday, at around 6:06 AM, a 64-year-old male was operating a 2021 Toyota Camry taxi. He picked up two passengers near West 207 Street and 10 Avenue, who requested to be dropped off at 3130 Villa Avenue.
Upon arrival, one of the suspects simulated a firearm, forcing the driver to exit the vehicle and flee for safety. The suspects then forcibly removed the victim’s cellphone and wallet before fleeing the scene in the stolen vehicle, last seen heading northbound on Villa Avenue.
The victim did not sustain any injuries, and the vehicle was later recovered unoccupied.
The NYPD is urging anyone with information about this incident to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
