NYPD investigating shooting in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted assault that occurred on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, around 1:10 PM.

The unknown individual approached the vicinity of 162 West 165 Street and discharged several rounds at a vehicle before fleeing northbound on Summit Avenue. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, last seen wearing all dark clothing and beige boots. The NYPD encourages anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline. All calls are strictly confidential, and any information provided could aid in the ongoing investigation.
