Three Men Arrested with Loaded Firearms in Utica, NY

UTICA, NY – On Friday, Utica police received a report of a man waving a handgun near Oneida Street and Clinton Street. Responding officers were provided with a description of the suspect and his two associates. They located the three men on Hobart Street, just a few blocks away.

As officers attempted to stop the individuals, all three tried to flee the scene. The first suspect, initially reported to have the handgun, was quickly apprehended by a patrol officer. After a brief struggle, a loaded 9mm handgun was discovered during a pat frisk. The other two suspects were pursued on foot and eventually detained, with both found to be carrying loaded firearms as well.

Following the investigation, Zayron Garrett, 19, Jean Dorisca, 19, and Quadir Thomas, 20, all from Utica, were charged with various criminal possession of a weapon and firearm offenses. All three suspects have been transported to the Utica Police Department for processing.
