Suspect wanted for dumping in Akron

AKRON, OH – The Akron Police Department requests assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in an illegal tire-dumping incident on April 1st.

According to police, the suspect rented a truck and used it to transport and dump tires illegally on Industrial Parkway. The rented vehicle was then returned to the U-Haul at 800 E. Tallmadge Ave.

The suspect, who may be homeless and residing in the area, was last seen approaching the business on foot. An employee of the U-Haul described the suspect as appearing unkempt, carrying a backpack, and wearing a red or orange stocking cap, blue jeans, and dark shoes.

In case of sighting the suspect, the Akron Police Department strongly advises against approaching the individual and urges citizens to immediately call 911.
