Bronx Woman Arrested for Threatening to Shoot Up New Rochelle Buffalo Wild Wings

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – On Sunday, Jayleen Mota was arrested and charged with making threatening interstate communications in which she threatened to shoot up a popular nationwide chain restaurant and sports bar, Buffalo Wild Wings, located in New Rochelle on a Saturday night.

She was charged via a criminal complaint filed in White Plains federal court and presented before United States Magistrate Judge Andrew E. Krause.

Mota sent a series of text messages threatening to commit a mass shooting at the crowded restaurant, according to the complaint filed.

The FBI and New Rochelle Police searched Mota’s apartment on April 15, 2023, and found Mota and the cellphone from which she sent the threats. She admitted to sending text messages threatening to shoot up the restaurant to five individuals.
