BOSTON, MA – The Boston Police Department arrested two Dorchester residents on firearm charges on Saturday. Travis Windley, 35, and Jahmal Stephen, 30, were apprehended after an ongoing investigation led officers to discover an illegal firearm in their possession.

The investigation unfolded around Woodrow Avenue and Norfolk Street, where officers suspected an individual carrying an unlicensed firearm. The suspect vehicle was subsequently stopped, leading to the arrest of both occupants. A Smith and Wesson SD40 with one round in the chamber and fourteen rounds in the magazine was discovered concealed inside the driver’s side door panel.

Windley and Stephen face charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, and a large capacity feeding device. Both are slated for arraignment in Dorchester District Court.
