Firearm Arrest in South End: Louis Romani in Custody

BOSTON, MA – On Wednesday, around 10:32 AM, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a call about a person with a gun near 887 Harrison Avenue. Louis Romani, a 45-year-old Boston resident, was apprehended at the scene.

Upon arrival, officers found Romani leaning against a building, with a silver-colored American Derringer firearm nearby. The firearm was loaded with two shotgun shells. Also found were six white round pills and twenty-nine blue pills. Romani was arrested on the spot and has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of Class B Drugs.

Romani was also wanted for three active warrants issued by East Boston District Court for Breaking & Entering Building, Drug Possession, and Receiving Stolen Property. The arraignment is expected to take place at the Boston Municipal Court.
