White Plains Resident Receives Eight-Year Prison Sentence for Child Sex Offenses

WHITE PLAINS, NY – On Monday, May 9, 2023, a resident of White Plains, David Rivera, aged 35, was handed an eight-year prison sentence by the Westchester County District Attorney’s office. This punishment was for engaging in sexual conduct with two minors. Additionally, Rivera will face 15 years of post-release supervision and must register as a sex offender.

Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah stated that Rivera had exploited two children’s trust. His victims displayed significant bravery by coming forward.

Rivera pleaded guilty to two counts of First Degree Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child on September 2, 2022. His criminal behavior began in 2010 for one victim and in 2006 for another.

The White Plains Public Safety apprehended Rivera on February 8, 2021, following an in-depth investigation.
