NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating a brutal machete attack in Cyprus Hill that took place on Wednesday.
At approximately 4:00 am, a 23-year-old male was parking his motorized scooter near Shepherd Avenue and Ridgewood Avenue when unknown individuals approached him.
The victim was pushed to the ground, and one of the individuals attempted to stab him.
Three additional individuals later joined the assailant, with one wielding a machete and inflicting multiple injuries on the victim’s legs and hands.
The group of assailants took the victim’s cellphone and fled southbound on Shepherd Avenue on mopeds. The victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
