Police investigating armed robbery in Queens

NEW YORK, NY – Police in Queens received a report on Monday regarding an incident that occurred at approximately 3:16 p.m. when a 47-year-old male was followed into the vestibule of a residential building near Woodward Avenue and Dekalb Avenue by an unidentified male individual.

The suspect then brandished a knife and demanded money from the victim. In compliance with the demand, the victim handed over approximately $380 to the assailant. Subsequently, the individual fled the scene on a Citi bike, heading southbound on Dekalb Avenue. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Law enforcement authorities have provided a description of the suspect. He is described as a male, standing approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie, light-colored jeans, and gray sneakers.
