BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – On Wednesday, Randy Manning of Englewood was convicted for the 2011 murder of Rhian Stoute.

The six-week jury trial presided over by Judge Gary N. Wilcox, in Bergen County Superior Court, concluded with Manning being found guilty of nine charges, including first-degree murder, desecration of human remains, and arson.

Evidence presented in court demonstrated that Manning shot Stoute to death in a vacant house in Englewood on August 15, 2011.

Hours later, Manning returned to the scene to set the victim’s body on fire and subsequently concealed the body in an SUV in Paramus, NJ. Important pieces of evidence were discarded in both Paramus and Brooklyn, New York, and later found by law enforcement during their investigation.

Manning is scheduled to be sentenced on July 21, 2023, by Judge Wilcox, and faces a minimum sentence of 30 years to life in New Jersey State Prison.
