Multiple motor vehicle burglaries reported in Columbia neighborhood

by Jeff Jones

Columbia, MD – Over the course of June 7-8, multiple incidents were reported in various locations within the Columbia area. These incidents involved theft and property-related offenses.

In the 4900 block of Columbia Road, multiple vehicles were targeted overnight. It is currently unclear what, if anything, was stolen during these incidents. Similarly, in the 5300 block of Butler Court, it is unclear what was stolen, if anything, during an incident that occurred overnight on June 7-8.

Another incident took place in the 11000 block of Broken Land Parkway, where a catalytic converter was reported stolen during the same time frame. The theft of catalytic converters has unfortunately become a prevalent crime due to the precious metals they contain.

In the 11800 block of New Country Lane, a purse was reported stolen on June 8.

Local authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
