Teen Dead In Latest D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 19-year-old is dead after yet another D.C. shooting, this one in Southeast, D.C. Detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department are investigating this shooting which happened Wednesday night.

Police arrived at the 1900 Block of 16th Street at about 10 pm Wednesday night to investigate the sounds of gunshots. Officers found 19-year-old Nijae Boddie of D.C suffering from a gunshot wound. Boddie was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

There were four separate shootings in Washington, D.C., overnight Wednesday, and Boddie was one of the two victims that died. All of the shootings took place in a two-and-a-half-hour time frame.
