Roxbury Police Arrest Lancaster Man on Firearm Charges

ROXBURY, MA – Levonte Johnson, a 20-year-old Lancaster resident, was arrested late Friday, June 20, by Roxbury police for firearm-related charges. The arrest took place at around 11:38 pm, following a disturbance at 88 Moreland Street.

Upon arrival, police discovered three adult males in an altercation, one bearing visible bloodstains on his shirt. During the subsequent pat frisk, officers discovered a firearm in Johnson’s pocket. Despite initial resistance, Johnson was apprehended without incident and a second firearm was found on his person.

Upon inspection, the firearms were identified as Taurus GX4, each containing one round in the chamber and twelve rounds in the magazine. Johnson is charged with two counts each of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
