South Huntington Man Sentenced for Raping Biological Daughter

SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. – A 45-year-old man from South Huntington has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting his 21-year-old daughter.

The man pleaded guilty last month to Rape in the First Degree, admitting to the assault which took place in February 2022.

According to court documents, the victim was coerced into spending the night at her father’s house. The defendant gave his daughter a sleep aid before carrying out the assault.

The victim managed to escape and seek help from a nearby family member, leading to the arrest of the defendant.

County Court Judge Karen M. Wilutis presided over the case, which concluded on Friday. The defendant was represented by Michael Elbert, Esq. Following the prison term, the defendant will be subject to 20 years of post-release supervision.
