Motorcyclist Injured in Crash with Minivan

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Thursday, Manchester Township Police Department and Manchester Township EMS received a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcyclist and a minivan.

The accident occurred near the entrance of the Colby Commons shopping center on State Highway 70, west of the intersection of County Route 571 (Ridgeway Rd.).

On arrival at the scene, officers encountered 54-year-old Geoffrey Hawkins from Brick NJ. He had sustained several injuries, including a head injury. Hawkins had been riding a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on State Highway 70 before the crash.

Hawkins, who wore a helmet at the time of the crash, was transported to the Community Medical Center by Manchester EMS for further treatment.

Meanwhile, 36-year-old Collin Boyle of Manchester NJ, the driver of the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country minivan involved in the crash, refused medical treatment at the scene.
