Fugitive Who Took TV, Phones From Partner After Assault Arrested by Police

UTICA, NY – Jason Lasand, a 31-year-old Utica resident, was arrested on July 23rd and later on Thursday, for multiple outstanding warrants related to domestic incidents occurring in April and May.

Reports indicate that Lasand and his partner were involved in multiple altercations during which Lasand physically attacked the victim.

In a specific incident, he damaged several televisions, took two cell phones from the victim, breaking them and preventing her from contacting the police. Lasand is also accused of stealing the victim’s car keys and her vehicle before leaving the scene.

Utica Police Patrol officers apprehended Lasand on July 23rd.

He is charged with Criminal Contempt in the first and second degree (x2), Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree (x2), and Grand Larceny in the fourth degree (motor vehicle) on Sunday.
