Chesapeake Police Issue Warning About Online Predator

by Jeff Jones

CHESAPEAKE, VA – In April, the Chesapeake Police Department’s Special Victims Unit, along with the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, started investigating an adult male’s online activities.

Identified as 22-year-old Gabriel Raen Brooks, formerly of Norfolk, VA, Brooks is now facing 30 felony charges connected to incidents in Chesapeake.

Brooks was discovered to be posing as a teenager on online platforms such as “Wizz” and “Snapchat”, soliciting inappropriate acts from local teenagers.

Operating under aliases like “BOREDD”, “Kendrickw1454”, “Kendrick W”, and “K.W.”, Brooks misrepresented his age to his victims.

Believing that there could be more unidentified victims, the Chesapeake Police Department is urging anyone who might have had contact with Brooks to come forward. They’ve also shared images of Brooks and the vehicle he supposedly used for in-person meetings with victims.
