Athens Man Wins $500k on Scratch Off Lottery Ticket

ATHENS, OH – Ricky Smith of Athens won the top prize of $500,000 in the Ohio Lottery’s Red Hot Riches scratch-off game. After state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, Smith will take home $360,000.

The winning ticket was sold at Chauncey Food Mart #233, located at 5 Converse St in Chauncey. As of today, two top prizes remain in the Red Hot Riches game, a $10 scratch-off.
