Fugitive Wanted for Shooting Woman in Pittsburgh Arrested in NYC

NEW YORK, NY – Detectives from the Pittsburgh Police Violent Crime Unit, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, arrested Richard Worley in New York City in the early hours of Monday.

Worley was wanted for a non-fatal shooting of a female that occurred on August 20, in the West End.

Worley faces multiple charges, including Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm Prohibited.

He is currently in custody and awaiting further legal proceedings.

The Pittsburgh Police Violent Crime Unit continues to investigate the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Violent Crime Unit directly.
