Wilmington Residents Woken Up to Armed Home Invasion

WILMINGTON, DE – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an armed home invasion robbery that took place in North Wilmington.

On Tuesday, at around 2:15 a.m., troopers were dispatched to a residence on the 2000 block of Silverside Road.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that three suspects had entered the home through an unsecured rear door. The suspects confronted two sleeping residents, demanding money while one of them brandished a firearm.

The residents complied, and the suspects left with an undisclosed amount of cash and other property.

The suspects are described as tall black males dressed in dark clothing and wearing face masks. Currently, there is no surveillance footage available. The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit is leading the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective D. Armstrong at (302) 365-8440.
