Murder Suspect Captured with Stash of Blood Covered Cash

MCKEESPORT, PA – Jeffrey Robinson, 53, faces homicide and robbery charges in relation to a fatal shooting that took place last night on Flagler Street.

County 9-1-1 received a call at 10:18 p.m. regarding a shooting in the 1800 block of Flagler Street. First responders discovered a 48-year-old man with gunshot wounds inside a residence. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit initiated an investigation at the request of McKeesport Police.

Before the victim’s death, a description of the suspect was obtained and relayed to detectives. A county police detective soon encountered a male matching the suspect description on Enterprise Street. Jeffrey Robinson was taken into custody without incident.

Officers noted that Robinson’s shoes and some bills among a large amount of cash he was carrying appeared to have blood on them.

Robinson is currently held in Allegheny County Jail awaiting his preliminary arraignment.
