Stray Bullet Critically Injures 65-Year-Old Woman in Wilkinsburg Shooting

WILKINSBURG, PA – A 65-year-old woman was critically injured after being shot in the lower back while seated in her vehicle, becoming an unintended victim in a shooting incident.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene following a 9-1-1 call at approximately 4:00 pm. The incident occurred near the intersection of Pennwood Avenue and Rowland Connector.

First responders immediately transported the woman to a local hospital, where she is currently listed in critical condition. Witnesses reported seeing two males in black clothing fleeing the area on foot shortly after the shooting.

Homicide detectives have initiated an investigation into the incident. The police department encourages anyone with information to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers have the option to remain anonymous.
