Armed Robbery Reported in Newtown

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA – On Monday, Newtown Township Police responded to a report of an armed robbery around 8 PM on Autumn Drive.

A resident reported being approached by two males armed with black semi-automatic handguns. The suspects forced the resident to hand over his wristwatch before fleeing the scene.

The suspects were described as medium-built, approximately 5’10”, wearing black clothing, gloves, and ski masks.

They possibly fled in a dark-colored sedan with no license plate, last seen heading towards I-295 on the Newtown Bypass. Officers from multiple departments assisted in the search for the suspects, but they remain at large.

Newtown Township Police are leading the investigation. The resident was not injured during the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Newtown Township Police Department.
