Nearly Two Dozen Arrests in Newark Crime Sweep

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé announced the arrest of 22 adults with outstanding warrants in the latest operation by the Newark Police Division’s Crime Reduction Initiative.

Director Fragé praised the efforts of multiple units involved in the operation. “I commend the Newark Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Liaison Unit, Emergency Services Unit, and Shooting Response Team for their commitment to keeping our streets safe,” he said. “The complex and significant work involved in arresting 22 wanted individuals deserves recognition.”
