PLAINFIELD, PA – Frank Svitak, a retired fire chief from the Goshen Fire Department in New Jersey, was sentenced to 2-4 years in a state correctional institution on Monday, by Judge Jessica Brewbaker.

The sentencing follows an investigation that began on January 11, when a cybertip steered authorities towards Svitak’s involvement in downloading child [censored]ography.

Upon conducting a warranted search at Svitak’s residence, investigators uncovered multiple electronic devices containing over 700 images and videos depicting child [censored]ography.

The 68-year-old defendant faced the court on charges of disseminating photos/films of child sex acts, criminal use of a communication facility, and possession of child [censored]ography.

The Pennsylvania State Police, in collaboration with other involved agencies, seeks additional information that may be pertinent to the case.
