LAFAYETTE AVENUE, NY – In the early hours of Saturday, officers from the 88 Precinct responded to a distress call reporting a shooting incident at 68 Lafayette Avenue.
Upon their arrival shortly after the call, which was received at around 2:12 AM, police found a 34-year-old male suffering from a gunshot injury to his neck. Emergency Medical Services were promptly on the scene and rushed the victim to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. However, despite medical efforts, the individual was pronounced dead.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld until proper notification of the family is completed. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing to the public for any information that might assist in the case.
