Man Killed in Early Morning Shooting in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ – An early morning shooting on Summer Street and Hamilton Avenue in Paterson, NJ, has left one man dead. The incident occurred today at approximately 1:16 a.m.

Upon arrival at the reported location, officers from the Paterson Police Department discovered a 47-year-old male resident of Paterson with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was declared deceased at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paterson Police Department jointly handling the ongoing investigation.
