The New York City Police Department announced the arrest of 35-year-old Abdoulaye Sow on Thursday, October 12, 2023, in connection to an ongoing investigation. Sow, who resides at 1383 Clay Avenue in the Bronx, is facing several charges including attempted murder, attempted criminally negligent homicide, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and harassment. The arrest took place within the confines of the 44th Precinct.
The NYPD is also requesting public assistance in identifying a second individual connected to an assault case under the jurisdiction of the same precinct. According to police reports, the incident occurred on Friday, August 4, 2023, around 7:39 p.m.
The victim, a 28-year-old male, was involved in a dispute with an unknown male near the intersection of East 170th Street and Clay Avenue. During the altercation, the unidentified individual brandished a firearm and discharged a single round, grazing the victim’s left leg before fleeing the scene on foot.
The victim declined medical treatment at the scene of the incident.
