On Friday the eighth-ranked Toms River North Mariners delivered a resounding victory over their rivals Toms River South, ending the game with a 49-0 shutout. With this win, Toms River North solidifies its strong season record at 7-1 in the Shore Conference, while Toms River South stumbles to 5-2.

Micah Ford made a significant impact in his return to the field, opening the scoring for Toms River North with a touchdown run in the first quarter. The team didn’t stop there—Josh Moore added another score with a 25-yard run, ending the first quarter at 14-0 in favor of the Mariners.

The second quarter continued to be a show of strength for Toms River North. Moore had a scintillating 64-yard touchdown run, followed by Nasir Jackson’s interception return for a touchdown. The Mariners finished the first half with a 28-0 lead, leaving Toms River South struggling to find answers.
