PARMA HEIGHTS, OH – A resident of Parma Heights, Ohio, has claimed the $5.5 million Classic Lotto jackpot, announced in the drawing on October 9, 2023. Opting for the cash prize, the winner will take home $1.98 million after mandatory state and federal tax withholdings, which total 28 percent. The initial cash option amounted to $2.75 million.

The winner elected to pick his own numbers for the lottery draw, landing on the winning combination of 9-16-18-27-41-44. The winning ticket was sold at Yorktown Service Plaza, situated at 6177 Pearl Road in Parma Heights.

This latest win adds to Ohio’s string of fortunate lottery stories, including several other high-profile prizes claimed this year. It underscores the continuing allure and substantial payouts of the state’s Classic Lotto game.

As of now, the identity of the winner has not been disclosed, allowing him to make plans for his nearly $2 million windfall privately.
