BETHESDA – A Bethesda woman scored a $50,000 prize on a free Pick 5 ticket she received during the Maryland Lottery’s Lottery Week promotion in July.

The 64-year-old frequenter of Talbert’s Ice & Beverage Service, located at 5234 River Road in Bethesda, said she usually doesn’t check her tickets immediately. However, she decided to scan the free ticket she received on July 20 and discovered the large prize.

The Montgomery County resident plans to pay bills, donate to charity, and may go on a vacation. She often works temporary part-time jobs, mainly in elder care, and enjoys reading when not playing the Lottery.

Talbert’s Ice & Beverage Service receives a $500 bonus for selling the winning $50,000 Pick 5 ticket.
