Prison Escapee Pleads Guilty

HARRISBURG, PA – Michael Burham, a 34-year-old, has pleaded guilty to escaping Warren County Prison in July, as announced by the Attorney General’s office.

Burham, initially incarcerated for kidnapping, was also fleeing a murder investigation in New York.

On Thursday, July 6, Burham crafted a makeshift rope from bedsheets to escape the prison.

Pennsylvania State Police apprehended him nine days later.

Attorney General Michelle Henry commended the collaborative efforts of law enforcement in apprehending and prosecuting Burham.
