Autozone Mechanic Shot, in Critical Condition at Wilkinsburg AutoZone

WILKINSBURG, PA – A shooting incident occurred outside the AutoZone store in Wilkinsburg, prompting a response from police and EMS crews at approximately 11:15 a.m. The victim, engaged in mechanic work on a vehicle, sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Eyewitnesses reported that the assailant, described as a 6-foot-2-inch tall, husky individual dressed in dark clothing, fled on foot. The incident took place in the vicinity of the 200 block of Lincoln Highway.

Frank Takaud, who was present with the victim inside a Honda Pilot at the time of the attack, recounted the experience of gunshots being fired through the vehicle’s glass. AutoZone employees, who discovered the victim, provided initial assistance and contacted emergency services.

The suspect was reportedly seen near a gray truck close to Wendy’s. The victim is currently in critical condition.
