NYPD Seeks Suspect Wanted for Violent Armed Smoke Shop Robberies

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect linked to a series of robberies across the city. The individual targeted smoke shops in various incidents.

On September 24, at approximately 11:38 am the suspect entered a smoke shop at 3007 3 Avenue. The individual simulated a firearm, forcing the 30-year-old employee to hide in the bathroom while approximately $200 was stolen. The suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

On November 13, at around 1:37 am, the suspect struck again at a smoke shop at 974 Amsterdam Avenue. The suspect, simulating a firearm and wielding a wrench, struck a 26-year-old employee’s hand and stole $500 from the register. The victim received on-scene treatment by EMS.

On November 18, at approximately 1:05 pm, a smoke shop at 3645 Bruckner Boulevard was targeted. The suspect threatened a 20-year-old employee and removed $200 from the register, escaping southbound on Bruckner Boulevard without causing physical harm.

The NYPD encourages anyone with information about these incidents to come forward.
