FAR ROCKAWAY, NY – On Sunday morning, Courtney Gordon, 38, fatally stabbed four family members, including two children aged 11 and 12, before setting their Queens residence on fire.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) reported that officers arrived at the scene in Far Rockaway following a distress call from a young girl, who managed to escape by jumping out of a window.

Upon their arrival, Gordon, who was attempting to flee with luggage, assaulted two NYPD officers with a kitchen knife, inflicting serious injuries. One of the officers, a 28-year NYPD veteran, responded by fatally shooting Gordon. The injured officers were later treated at Jamaica Hospital and have since been released.
