FORT MYERS, FL – A mysterious chain of events has unfolded in Fort Myers, leading to an unsolved homicide and an arrest for assault. Lori Leanne Quinn, 49, currently faces a misdemeanor battery charge after a confrontation with her neighbor. The situation escalated when the neighbor discovered his girlfriend’s grandmother fatally stabbed in his residence.
The incident began early Tuesday morning when Quinn allegedly invited her neighbor to her house and made unwanted sexual advances. According to the arrest affidavit, Quinn grabbed the man’s face, trying to coerce him into sexual activity, which he refused. The encounter ended with the neighbor leaving Quinn’s residence, dismissing her behavior as inappropriate.
Later that day, a gruesome discovery was made. The same neighbor, who lives on a boat with his girlfriend adjacent to the residence where the stabbing occurred, reported an unsettling sighting of Quinn bicycling in the area. He also recalled hearing an unusual noise outside his boat. Upon investigating, he found his girlfriend’s grandmother stabbed to death inside the home.
Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the homicide. As of now, Quinn has not been named a suspect or person of interest in the murder case.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has provided limited information, with several redactions in the arrest affidavit.
