WEST TRENTON, NJ – The New Jersey State Police recently held a ceremony at the Division Headquarters’ Log Cabin to acknowledge a significant donation from the SNP Foundation, created in memory of Stephanie Nicole Parze. The foundation has generously donated a cadaver canine and a portable dental x-ray machine, tools crucial in missing persons cases and identifying human remains.

The donated canine, named “Sparze” in honor of Stephanie, will undergo specialized training to become adept in tracking and detecting human remains. “Sparze” is expected to be fully operational for the New Jersey State Police by June 2024.

Stephanie Nicole Parze tragically fell victim to domestic violence in the fall of 2019. Her remains were found near Route 9 in Old Bridge, NJ, after an 87-day search. In response to this tragedy, the SNP Foundation has been a vocal advocate for education and intervention in domestic violence, sexual abuse, and support for families dealing with missing loved ones.
