NORRISTOWN, PA – Blair Watts, a 34-year-old Pennsylvania man, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his 43-year-old business partner, Jennifer Brown. The Montgomery County jury delivered a guilty verdict for first-degree murder, leading County Judge William R. Carpenter to impose the mandatory life sentence.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office stated that Watts, who chose not to testify during the six-day trial, proclaimed his innocence to reporters while being escorted out of the courtroom.

“I didn’t kill Jennifer Brown,” Watts asserted, as reported by The Mercury.

First Assistant District Attorney Edward F. McCann Jr. and Deputy District Attorney Kelly S. Lloyd described Watts as a “broke narcissist,” suggesting the motive behind the killing was to prevent Brown from revealing Watts’ misuse of funds. These funds were intended for a joint restaurant venture.

Lloyd highlighted Watts’ manipulative behavior and self-centered nature, asserting that the trial evidence overwhelmingly supported Watts’ guilt. The jury’s decision reflects a thorough consideration of the evidence, aligning with the prosecution’s narrative of the events leading to Brown’s tragic death.
