Minneapolis Man Charged in Fatal Shooting of Girlfriend

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Johnny Leroy Brown, 50, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder in the shooting death of his girlfriend, Kesha Latrice Moore, 43. The incident occurred in a Minneapolis apartment complex and is believed to stem from a domestic dispute.

Brown faces a range of charges, including one count of murder, one count of second-degree murder with intent, one count of second-degree murder while committing a felony, and one count of possessing a firearm after a felony conviction.

The Minneapolis Police Department reported that officers from the 5th Precinct responded to a shooting at around 8:20 p.m. on December 17, at an apartment complex located in the 4200 block of Sheridan Avenue South. Upon arrival, Moore was found in her apartment with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation suggests that the shooting was the result of a domestic altercation between Moore and her live-in partner, identified as Brown. The case continues to develop, with the Minneapolis community grappling with the tragic outcome of this domestic incident.
