Domestic Dispute Leads to Stabbing in Utica, Female Suspect Arrested

UTICA, NY – A domestic dispute turned violent on December 31, 2023, leading to a stabbing incident in a residence on the 400 block of Niagara St. Utica Police and Fire units were dispatched to the scene around 7:00 p.m.

Upon arrival, authorities were informed by several individuals that during an argument, a female had stabbed a male multiple times in the chest. The male victim was found with several stab wounds to his midsection. The female involved in the incident also sustained a laceration to her wrist. Both parties received treatment for their wounds, which were assessed as non-life-threatening.

Following an initial investigation and based on the information gathered, the female identified as Lisa Murdock, 52, of Utica, was taken into custody. She faces mandatory domestic violence charges. Murdock was transported to the Utica Police Department for processing.
