Teen Shot and Killed by Gunshot Wound to Head in Utica

UTICA, NY – A shooting incident occurred on Sunday evening, in Utica.

Utica Police, along with Fire units, were dispatched to the 1000 block of Warren St at approximately 7:50 PM following reports of a gunshot victim.

On arrival, emergency responders found a 15-year-old male from Utica with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was located in a driveway near the intersection of Warren St and Lenox Ave. Despite immediate and intensive life-saving efforts by the Utica Fire Department, the teenager succumbed to his injuries.

Out of respect for the family’s wishes, the identity of the young victim is being withheld. The Utica Police Department remains at the scene and is actively conducting additional canvasses for evidence, witnesses, and surveillance footage.
