Newark Police Seek Assistance in Locating Missing 15-Year-Old Girl

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Department of Public Safety is requesting the public’s help in finding Iazaliya Johnson, a 15-year-old girl from Newark, reported missing since Sunday, January 21.

Iazaliya, known to have run away previously, was last seen in the vicinity of Chadwick Avenue near Avon Avenue. She is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, and has distinctive black and pink braids. At the time of her disappearance, Iazaliya was wearing a black varsity jacket, gray sweatpants, and blue Jordan sneakers.

She is known to frequent several areas in Newark, including the 200 block of West End Avenue, the 100 block of Seymour Avenue, and Smith Street.
