Wall Township, NJ – An attempted theft of a catalytic converter was thwarted early this morning thanks to an alert Wall Township resident and the quick response of local police. At approximately 3:48 a.m., a resident on Marconi Rd reported suspicious activity involving two males near a neighbor’s car.

Officers, already patrolling nearby, observed a white Acura speeding away from the scene upon noticing the police presence. A subsequent inspection of the targeted vehicle revealed evidence of an attempt to remove the catalytic converter.
