BUNNELL, FL – A law enforcement operation over the weekend resulted in 23 arrests by Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputies, in collaboration with Bunnell Police Department (BPD). From 6 p.m. on Friday, March 1, to 6 a.m. on Monday, March 4, deputies responded to 687 calls for service and conducted 148 traffic stops.

The operation peaked on Saturday, March 2, shortly after midnight, when deputies aided BPD officers in managing a large disturbance on South Anderson Street. The disturbance escalated following an initial arrest by BPD, leading to physical aggressions among 50 to 60 individuals, including confrontations with the officers present.

One deputy was pushed and another was punched during the melee, though neither suffered serious injuries. Andrea Armster, 41, from Bunnell, was among those arrested after she aggressively interfered with law enforcement efforts, showing signs of intoxication. Sheriff Rick Staly emphasized the seriousness of assaulting law enforcement personnel, highlighting Armster’s extensive criminal history.
