New Jersey Cops Attacked and Stabbed During Fake 911 Call

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ – An incident in Galloway Township last night resulted in injuries to two police officers. Around 8:30 PM, officers from the Galloway Township Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Cresson Avenue following a 911 hangup. During their investigation, the officers were attacked, leading to one officer being stabbed on the side of his face and another sustaining a head injury.

Both officers were promptly transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Division. One officer has been released, while the other remains hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the attack.

The Galloway Township Police Department has announced that the incident is under thorough investigation, with more information expected to be released the following morning.
