WASHINGTON, D.C. – A teen has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Northeast gas station, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District.
The robbery occurred in the early hours of April 9, 2024, when an employee, standing outside the gas station on the 2800 block of 12th Street, Northeast, was confronted by two suspects. One suspect, wielding a handgun, coerced the employee back into the store while the other suspect kept watch. Inside, the armed suspect demanded and took cash along with the employee’s cell phone before both suspects fled the scene.
A 17-year-old male from Southwest, D.C., was apprehended on April 10, 2024, and faces charges of Armed Robbery (Gun). The investigation is ongoing, with police releasing a surveillance photo of the additional suspect and appealing to the public for any information regarding this crime.
