After days of persistent cold and rain, New Jersey residents can expect a major shift in the weather pattern starting tonight. Conditions are set to clear up, bringing much-needed relief and a hint of early summer warmth.

Tonight: Skies will clear, setting the stage for a brisk night with temperatures dropping to around 44 degrees. Westerly winds will be noticeable, blowing at about 10 mph, with potential gusts reaching up to 25 mph.

Sunday: The sun makes a welcome return, pushing temperatures to a pleasant high near 72 degrees. The southwest wind will continue, blowing at 5 to 15 mph, and could gust as high as 25 mph. Enjoy the outdoor weather, but keep an eye on the evening as conditions may shift.

Sunday Night: The chance of showers and thunderstorms emerges before 2 AM, with increasing cloud cover. The low will be around 55 degrees. Southwest winds maintain their pace, and there’s a 50% chance of precipitation. Rainfall amounts are expected to be light, between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, though thunderstorms could bring higher totals.

Monday: The new week starts brightly with sunny skies and a high near 74 degrees. The northwest wind will calm slightly to 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear conditions continue, with a low around 48 degrees. The north wind will blow gently at about 5 mph.

Tuesday: Another sunny day with a high near 70 degrees, perfect for spending time outdoors.

Midweek Forecast: While Tuesday night will see mostly cloudy skies with a low around 49 degrees, Wednesday brings a 50% chance of showers after 8 AM, with highs around 65 degrees. Showers are likely to continue into Wednesday night, especially before 2 AM, with a 60% chance of precipitation.

Thursday and Friday: The latter part of the week will see partly sunny skies with intermittent chances of showers. Highs will remain in the mid-60s, with overnight lows dipping into the mid to upper 40s. The chance of rain persists but diminishes slightly as the week concludes.

This upcoming week offers a mix of sunny days and sporadic showers, a typical spring pattern that signals a definitive end to the earlier dreary weather. Enjoy the warmth and sunshine when possible, and keep an umbrella handy for the occasional spring shower.
