Armed Robbery on Bronx River Parkway

BRONX, NY – An alarming incident of armed robbery was reported to the New York City Police Department on Wednesday. The event unfolded around 3:20 PM when a 43-year-old male for-hire vehicle driver picked up an unidentified passenger near Webster Avenue and East 168 Street in the 42 Precinct. As they traveled southbound on the Bronx River Parkway near East Gun Hill Road in the 47 Precinct, the passenger revealed a firearm and demanded the driver’s valuables.

The driver complied, stopping the vehicle and handing over his cell phone, watch, and over $1,300 in cash. The armed individual then fled the scene. Described as in his early 20s, the suspect was last seen wearing a red jacket with white sleeves, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
