**Parents Charged in Death of 1-Month-Old Twins**

A tragic death of two children happened last fall in Houston, Texas, resulting in the demise of one-month-old twins due to blunt force trauma.

Now, parents Fernando Vega and Angelina Calderon, both 21, now face charges of serious bodily injury to a child. The twins were found unresponsive by Vega, prompting a distress call to the police at 11 a.m. on October 4, 2023.

Despite initial examinations showing no traumatic injuries, a later autopsy revealed the infants had suffered multiple blunt force injuries. The medical examiner ruled the manner of death as homicide, emphasizing that the injuries were deliberately inflicted. Vega and Calderon are currently in custody at Harris County Jail without bond.
